You thought we wouldn't notice
Just found this fascinating blog that chronicles art theft and ripoffs of anything from logos, clothing designs, illustrations, you name it.
As a beginning painter, sometimes I fret about overstepping the line between finding inspiration in other art and copying someone else's work. I'd like to think (especially after viewing this site) any copying would be unconscious and inadvertent, but it's still so interesting to see what people think they can get away with.
Now, if anyone can find me a site that chronicles homages, tributes and how people have built upon things that inspire them, I'd love to see that!
