Why can't my haunted garden look like this?

Awesome corrugated metal? Check. Beautiful, beautiful succulents? Check. Gorgeous planters? Check. Golden, sparkly suuuuuunlight? So very check.

Sigh. For now I'm stuck with my haunted trash alley.
