Petticoat junction?
Dear brilliant readers, do any of you know where I can try on/buy a tulle crinoline skirt in the Chicago area?
Can be new or vintage...I'm not in the mood to be picky.
Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance!

yikes, the only places i can think of are the vintage shops, Antique and Resale Shoppe on Harlem being the best choice... Do you know any stage actors? maybe they can refer you to wherever they get theirs - i know that they're well used in theater!
Are you looking for under your wedding dress? I bought mine here: http://stores.ebay.com/ANGELS-BRIDAL-SHOP Bridal stores have plenty to try on but they're ridiculously expensive so you might as well buy used since you won't see it or just buy cheap. If is for your wedding dress, I highly suggest a hoop skirt because it keeps that damn dress off your legs and therefore, cooler. 2 or 3 hoops will do (I bought 3 and removed the top) and the hoops are adjustable so you don't have that whole Scarlett O'Hara thing going on.
Thanks, guys! Melina, I'll check out that shop and see what I find. Alison, would the hoop work for a shorter dress?
