Bats, bras and zombies

You know how sometimes you get a birthday/Christmas/Arbor Day gift that is so totally wrong you have to wonder if the person, who is presumably a close friend or relative, even knows you? Yeah. Mine was a porcelain Lenox sculpture of some dolphins frolicing in a frothy, cresting wave from a well-meaning aunt.

It was like this, but larger and uglier:

That's not to say I have good taste, it's just she didn't get me.

On the other hand, the person who sent me these links--she gets me. How awesome is this zombie lawn sculpture?

Not creepy enough? How about finding a baby bat in in your bra? I mean, everyone's done the "static-cling panties stuck to your leg" shake, but going about your day with a living creature nestled in your cleavage? That's a story!

He just went back to watching Deadliest Catch--I love your writing and humor---its awesome!!!! Miss you Ali!

Aww, Steph! You made my day...

Is Paul's show the one where they drive trucks across frozen lakes? I think my mom is a huge fan of that one.

I'll be in town in August. We should kick it like wild donkeys.

Paul loves that damn Ice Road Truckers show too, but the one he was watching was about Crab fishing and I only watch with him if he rubs my feet!!!! When will you be in town in August??

so, what did you think of 'into the wild'?

I liked the book better (isn't that always the case?) but I thought it was decent for the amount of ground the story covered. I just wish the movie had gone into how foolhardy he was and how so many people tried to talk him out of it.
