It's a giveaway
As I mentioned last week, my good friend Shannon I have just opened an Etsy shop to sell vintage goods: The Big Heist. (for those who are wondering, we got the name from a jazzy Henry Mancini song)
In honor of the launch, I'm giving one of my estate sale treasures away:
NUTTY THE SQUIRREL.
He's an adorable ceramic squirrel. Sitting on a giant walnut. That HOLDS STUFF. You're thinking that you need him in your life pronto, aren't you?
We're both super new at this (the selling, not the buying. oh god, not the buying), so any suggestions on what you'd like to see in the shop are gold to us (or walnuts to Nutty).
Leave a comment telling me how you'd use Nutty or what kind of vintage wares you look for when shopping, and I'll randomly pick a winner next Monday at 6 p.m. Central. Don't forget to leave me a way to get in touch.
Go nuts!

I would put my wedding rings in the walnut while I cook and clean.
Right now...I'm leaving them on the counter or in my pocket where they are at risk of getting lost.
He's So. Damn. Cute.
Nutty the Squirrel looks like he needs a good home. Nutty would ideally be a great place to store nuts, however they would most likely go stale and I'd forget about them because he's just so cute. But, (guessing on the size of Mr. Squirrel) I think he would be a fantastic place to stash my sewing fix-n's so I wouldn't have to put EVERYTHING away and could pick up a sewing venture right then and there.
Ooooh I love the little fluffer nutter! It is hard to tell the scale of hims, but I think I would keep candy in it.
He's so cute that people would go investigate and then find candy inside. WAM! Double awesome.
I'd buy stuff JUST LIKE HIMS in your store so it looks like you're on the right track.
I'd put him on my desk so he could hold paper clips...he is a cutey!
I'd fill him up with q-tips and keep him on the bathroom counter!
I know I'm too late to win Nutty [:(:(:(], but if I'm fortunate enough to find one of his mates at a flea market I'd use him to hold my "now where should I put this??" collection. You know, the stray button that you know goes to something, the raffle ticket I bought from the Cub Scouts, that little needle you need to air up the basketball.
Loving your site, and about to go check out your etsy shop. Best wishes.
