You know you're in trouble...

...when after repeatedly hinting that you'd like to receive a bouquet of flowers sometime, you are finally, FINALLY presented with an old spaghetti sauce jar filled with dirt and a tulip bulb (bloom forthcoming!) dug up from someone's yard.

And it's somehow infinitely more charming than an armful of orchids any day.
