At home with Kay

We're back after last week's hiatus! This week, let's have a look around Dutch blogger Kay's fun and colorful vintage digs.



There's a lot to love about her style, but I am particularly taken with her incredible lamp and chair collections, two things I'm particularly am drawn to.

How long have you lived in your home, and why did you choose it? About 14 years, I wanted to live in an old house (it’s 104 years old) with a large garden.


How would you describe your style and is there anyone/anything that has inspired you? I guess you could call my style now vintage love. Books, art and Flickr are the best way to find your own style.


What's your favorite part of your home? Your least favorite? I love my living room, and I not so sure about my kitchen, I’m dreaming of an empty kitchen (but then again I love vintage kitchen ceramics, so that is not easy).

What's your next project? A new kitchen would be cool.


What are the best places you find treasures for your home? Spring is the best time of the year...lots of
yard sales and flea markets.



As far as her favorite places online, Kay loves Scandanavian blogs like Nestled In(see Katja from Nestled In's house tour here!), Liiviantalossa.blogspot.com, Lumetta and Flickr (the midcentury modern groups are her faves).
